Shamanism is an ancient spiritual practice that was prevalent in all major continents of the world and practiced today by peoples from all faith, cultural and hereditary backgrounds. In core shamanism we learn and practice the methods, beliefs, ceremonies, rituals and initiations that have a common thread throughout all tribal and ancestral peoples going back as much as ten thousand years.
In modern day shamanism we adapt our practice to "fit" our current culture and to ensure that spiritual power is expressed in safety and with an inclusive attitude. No one is the expert of your experience other than yourself!
We come together in sacred circle to drum, dance, sing and celebrate the presence of spirits from all realms and learn to navigate the Upper, Lower and Middle Worlds as they were understood by our ancestors. Our weekend together includes ceremony, expressive art opportunities, and movement.
This Introductory Session includes the option of signing up for four monthly on-line "Practicing Shamanism" sessions led by Dory.
We look forward to hearing from you.
