Eva Goulette, Shamanic Teacher & Spirit Camp Founder/Leader

Eva is a shamanic teacher and founder of spirit Camp, a traveling summer camp that teaches children all over the united states how to nurture their inner spirituality.

Eva knew from a very young age that she was creative, artistic and loved to express herself in non-speaking modalities. Dance became her main outlet for her creativity, and for her ability to communicate without using words.

In her twenties, Eva was completely immersed in running a ballet studio in New York state.  She felt confident in her abilities, but started realizing she was hiding behind a mask.  The confidence she exhibited to the rest of the world was hiding the insecurity and self-doubt she lived with everyday.  She embarked on a journey of self discovery that has carried her through the next few decades of her life and has brought her to learn more about herself than she ever thought possible.  This journey is a never ending one and she is thrilled to know there is no ‘destination’.

A month before her 40th birthday, the vehicle Eva was driving was struck head-on on Pacific Coast Highway in Southern CA.  The accident turned out to be one of the greatest gifts she has ever received.  Eva’s life was changed forever, and she is so grateful for the way her path changed on that fateful day.

Eva spent years recovering from a TBI (traumatic brain injury) and had no choice but to live in the moment each day.  She had very few memories of the past and she didn’t have the ability to project into the future.  She was a bit child-like in that respect — and there isn’t anyone better at living in the moment than a child! Eva had always loved being in the presence of children, admiring their spontaneity, curiosity, openness, etc. Although she didn’t realize it for a number of years, she was living her life post-accident just as a child does. Over time, Eva began to feel like a child magnet.  She believes they were able to sense her ability to be in the moment with them.

Gradually, with their parent’s permission, Eva started teaching children things she had been learning since she embarked on her journey of self exploration nearly twenty years earlier.  She began taking classes to become a shamanic practitioner.  It was very hard at first, because she kept falling asleep in class.  The amount of information Eva was learning was overwhelming her brain. In time, she began to realize that she was staying awake longer, remembering more, etc.  After her first year, Eva realized that her brain was starting to heal as a result of the shamanic journeying she was doing.

Eva became a shamanic practitioner after three years of study and was thrilled to be focusing her attention on working with children. She began offering Spirit Camps and Spirit Classes, which are well loved by children. In Spirit Camp, she and her campers explore energy, chakras, auras, nature spirits, guided visualizations, shamanic journeying, the law of attraction, attitude of gratitude and many other spirituality based subjects.  She also works with children one-on-one for healing.  It is always Eva’s goal to empower the child, to offer “tools” they may use in their daily lives that will assist them in dealing with anxiety, restlessness, difficulties with situations they may be faced with and feeling safe.

Eva considers it an honor and a blessing  to be able to work with these new souls on our planet. They have come into this world with such sensitivity! She feels it is her duty to assist them on their way to fulfilling their soul’s purpose while here. She learns from every child she works with.  She is their teacher, and they are hers.

Eva has found her life’s purpose and love every minute of the work she does. For a full list of Spirit Camps and Classes, please visit Eva’s website.

Nancy is Dory Cote’s trusted Assistant in all of Dory’s workshop offerings. She is a Shamanic practitioner and also offers her own workshops and ceremonies for clients and students.

In addition to shamanic healing, Nancy offers Reiki which she has been studying and practicing with regularity for several years. Her office in Yarmouth, Maine is a safe container for her in depth work with clients

Nancy has been on a path to a deeper spiritual connection for most of her life. Her immersion into shamanism was literally sparked by a ceremonial fire and a subsequent search for a drum. This search led her to Dory. Nancy first completed the Introduction to Shamanism Program, led by Terry Morgan, and followed that with the one-year  Shamanic Apprenticeship and then onto the two-year Hollow Bone Program, both taught by Dory with Terry Morgan’s assistance. Nancy has also completed trainings in Soul Retrieval and Medicine for the Earth with Dory.

In 2017 Nancy participated in a vision quest in New Mexico with Sparrow Hart and Circles of Air and Stone. This experience deepened her connection with Spirit and affirmed her commitment to working with spirit, and life force energy.

Previously, Nancy was the teacher of a program that she created, Adventure Play, which spanned a period of 25 years. This work celebrates and nourishes children’s playful, creative and imaginative spirits. Nancy has written two books to support educators in this work: Adventure Play and Adventure, Play, Peace. Her current work with children supports their connection to the natural world and their own inner wisdom. Peace, compassion and wonder are at the heart of this work.
